Step 3 - Steps To Take Once the Official Solicitor Agrees To Act as Litigation Friend
- Prepare Certificate of Suitability for sending to the Official Solicitor
- Send client care letter to Official Solicitor
- Apply to amend Legal Aid Certificate to show the Official Solicitor as representing the Official Solicitor
- Ask the Official Solicitor to approve the use of any counsel working on the case.
- Send pleadings and index of last hearing to Official Solicitor
Once the Official Solicitor has completed the Certificate of Suitability
- Send the completed Certificate of Suitability to the Court and other parties
